FCT meets BHTA Members to talk Trash!

Posted By: nicole on September 1, 2010 in news - Comments: No Comments »

On Tuesday August 31, Nicole Garofano presented an update of the FCT to some of the members of the BHTA and an introduction to a new project concept to help streamline hotel and tourism provider waste management processes.

Nine representatives made the choice to come along to the presentation which provided some good interactive feedback on the concept.

Nicole will take this information back to the current partners to the project, Sustainable Barbados Recycling Centre and our own Green Business Barbados Programme, to see how the project can gather momentum and invite new partners to help the project’s sustainability. Also invited to participate are the visiting Intern Students of McGill University in Canada who have recently arrived to complete their Barbados field studies semester.

More on this as the concept progresses.
